Today when Team CSC meets for the first time in 2008 at the training camp in Majorca, the riders will be presented to a strong, new visual identity in the shape of brand new clothes design.

The Team CSC 2008 uniform has been redesigned and this also marks the beginning of a new collaboration with Swedish sports clothes manufacturer CRAFT.

The clothes is designed by Inger Tanderup Klixbull, who is creative director at the add agency Ogilvy in Chicago. She has based the new visual identity on the team's thoughts on “team spirit” and also on the team's focus on a clean and trustworthy sport.

”The Team CSC 2008 uniform is a tribute to the team itself. A uniform, which represents each rider and at the same time also representing them all as one unit. The idea comes across in the new “signature pattern.” A pattern created from each individual rider's signature in a graduation from black to white. Where black is a pattern created from all the signatures and white is an open light pattern, which enables you to see the individual signatures. In this way each rider “signs himself on” to the team and at the same time signs his commitment to Team CSC's beliefs and values,” says Inger Tanderup Klixbull, who has also designed the team's previous uniforms.

”It happens only a few times in a designer's life that you get so inspired by a job that the design literally comes pouring out and everything feels right. But this is exactly what happened to me with the design for Team CSC in 2008.
Here was a team, which wasn't just a group of individualists, but a team fighting for a set of values as a unified group. Coming together in the fight against doping and claiming the title of the best cycling team in the world. It has been a very inspiring process for me,” adds the designer.

”We're very proud of the new design. It represents our beliefs as a team and at the same time it gives us a clean and stylish look, which is noticeable in the peloton. The idea to use the rider's signatures in our visual identity symbolizes that we are all committing ourselves to stand together and fight for the future of our sport in the right way,” announces Bjarne Riis.
